As I write this message to you, I'm filled with a deep feeling of gratitude to welcome you back to Luminescence which will be hosted again, at the amazing York Manor.  We will be celebrating the Fall Equinox and bringing some new elements to this iteration of Luminescence.  

What’s new? 
​Some new soundscapes, a meditation element, a boutique of various holistic healing services and products to make available to our community, and continuing to strengthen our relationship with sponsors like Pressed Juicery and The York Manor.

Please mark your calendar - The event will be on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 6pm - 11pm. It starts at 7pm and everyone should be in the space, doors open at 6:30pm.  We will start setting up at 5pm - please arrive no later than than 6pm. You’ll want to allot enough time to find street parking and just to get acquainted with the space, especially if you’re new. The time breakdown is below:


5-6pm…………Arrival Time.  Please arrive no later than 6pm.  
    All performers and vendors show up and set-up. Placement of 
    instruments in space.Test Sound.

 Be set-up no later than 6:30pm….Give yourself time to set up and just relax.


6:30pm…………………..Doors open.


7pm………………………Start.


715pm - 745pm …….….Officially Start. Last guest accepted in at 7:15pm.  Welcome Message, 3 min movement (Sat-Akal), Introductory Soundscape and Meditation (Joshua and Sat-Akal)
Small break (8-10min)


7:55pm - 8:50pm………. Sound Bath


8:50 - 8:55……………….Wake Up


8:55 - 9:05……………….Closing - Blessing and thank you’s by Sat-Akal. Introduce    Boutique.  Possible live drumming with Sel.


9:05 - 11:00pm…………..Indoor/Outdoor Holistic Boutique; All performers should pack up your 
                                        instruments and items between 9:10pm - 11pm, preferably by 11pm.

Before I get into that, I just wanted to reiterate that the whole point of Luminescence has always been to create a beautiful, fabulous, community-centered sound healing experience for the East side of Los Angeles. It has been a gradual, organic, and steady growth since our first event at The York, increasing in size each time. 


The response has been amazing each and every time.  


Most of you live nearby or are FROM this part of town which is very meaningful to Luminescence (it was the fact that I live 5 walking blocks from The Manor that was a BIG selling point to partnering with them!)....
and ALL of you carry the vibe of community, creativity, generosity, fun, patience, optimism, and kindness that are the leading qualities of Luminescence. It is this energy that continues to fuel and carry this work forward.


You will also each receive the following discount tickets to give out:
- (2) Two COMPLIMENTARY (free) guest passes.
- (2) Individual passes for $15 each
- (2) Two "2 for 1 Passes" -or- 2 for $30
- (8) Eight "Family Passes” that are for groups of up to 4 for $50


This is a good opportunity to reward your greatest supporters in your classes and in your work, your friends, and your family.

Compensation
Each sound performer will receive a base payment of $25 to start.
On top of this, for your marketing efforts,
For every Family Pass you sell, you will receive $10.
For every online ticket you sell through your personalized eventbrite link, you’ll receive $5.


All of the above discounts... (to be honest I haven't quite figured out how to streamline these
payments yet.. but I'll have it figured out soon!) ;-)

* Payments will be disbursed within 30 days from the date of our event.

If you would like to make your own printed color copies of the flyer for
distribution to family, friends, local studios, coffeehouses, etc...
feel free to make copies on your own.
I'm willing to reimburse UP TO $5.00 per person, With Receipt.
